Good Hope Development, LLC DBA Good Hope Homes ("Good Hope Homes," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit buildgoodhope.com or interact with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly and information collected automatically as you use the site.
- Information you provide — name, email, phone number, mailing address, lot address, message content, and any other details you share through contact forms, warranty requests, vendor applications, or by emailing us.
- AI chat conversations — the full text of every message you send to the chat assistant on this site, along with anything the assistant says back. We use this to answer your questions, gather lead information, and improve the assistant. See "AI chat assistant" below.
- Financial information — we do not collect Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or credit information from home buyers through this site. When financing is involved we will introduce you to a licensed lender who handles that information directly under their own privacy practices. Vendors who apply to work with us may upload a W-9, which carries a taxpayer identification number; we use it only for tax reporting and limit who can see it.
- Site usage — how the site is used, collected by Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity through cookies. See "Cookies and analytics" below.
How we use your information
- Respond to inquiries, schedule visits, and follow up on questions about plans, communities, lots, and warranty.
- Provide and improve our services, including measuring how the site is used.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
AI chat assistant
This site includes an AI-powered chat assistant in the lower-right corner. When you use it:
- Every message you type is sent to Anthropic, PBC, which provides the AI model (Claude) used to generate responses. Anthropic processes the message under its own privacy and data-handling terms, and does not use this content to train its public models when accessed through its commercial API.
- When the assistant collects enough information to create a lead (your name, contact details, and what you're looking for), the full conversation transcript along with that information is emailed to our internal team for follow-up. We retain those emails in our normal business inbox for as long as is useful for working with you.
- We do not sell chat content or transcripts to advertisers, marketers, or data brokers. We do not use chat content for any purpose other than helping you, following up, and improving the assistant.
You are never required to use the chat assistant. You can reach us instead by email.
How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to do business with you or as required by law:
- Service providers — including, but not limited to, email delivery (Resend), site hosting (Vercel), AI processing (Anthropic), analytics (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity), and our forms and customer records (JobTread), each operating under contract and only with the information needed to perform their services.
- Lenders, title companies, and real estate professionals — only when you have asked us to introduce you and only to the extent needed to support your transaction.
- Vendors and trade partners — when you apply through our Vendors page, the application is shared internally with relevant staff.
- Legal and safety — to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or laws, and to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice where required.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to see how this site is used. They use cookies and similar technology to collect traffic data: the pages you visit, how you scroll, click, and tap, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. Clarity also makes session replays and heatmaps of how pages are used; what you type into our forms and the chat assistant is hidden from them. We use this only to improve the site, never for advertising. Google and Microsoft may use what their tools collect for their own purposes, including information about your activity on this site and on other sites over time, under their own privacy policies.
You can decline on the notice shown on your first visit, or at any time with at the bottom of every page; declining stops both tools and deletes their cookies. For how these companies handle the data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
This site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals; use Decline or Cookie Preferences instead.
Your choices and rights
- Wherever you live, you can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity. Some records must be kept for legal or contractual reasons.
- You can turn analytics off at any time with Cookie Preferences at the bottom of every page.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for a reasonable period.
